Phase 1

Trading Data Assessment

Phase 1 is where trading behaviour data is generated. You trade a simulated MetaTrader 5 account fed by live market prices for six trading days. There is no profit target and no real capital — every order you place is recorded, and the session is evaluated for data quality once it closes. Up to 10% of qualifying datasets may be selected to advance to Phase 2.

What the Assessment is

1in10 is a Trading Data Valuation Platform. The Trading Data Assessment is the stage where a participant generates the raw material the platform works with: trading behavioural data. Each order, modification and close is captured, together with its timing and the market context around it.

The Assessment is not a test of returns. There is no profit target to hit and no minimum number of trades. What is assessed afterwards is the quality of the dataset — its consistency, its reproducibility and its value for research.

All trading happens in a Simulated Trading Environment. No real capital is allocated, no deposit is held, and no funds are traded on your behalf. The simulated balance exists only inside that environment and cannot be deposited, withdrawn or converted.

Before you start

  1. Create an accountRegistration takes an email address and a password. The Platform is not available in every jurisdiction; eligibility is set out in the Terms of Use.
  2. Verify your identityIdentity verification is handled by our verification provider and uses a government-issued ID and a liveness check. It is required before a Data License Fee can be paid, and completing it early avoids a delay later.
  3. Choose an Assessment EnvironmentEnvironments are offered with $1,000, $3,000 and $5,000 simulated balances. The larger the environment, the larger the positions the data can be generated from.
  4. Pay the Assessment feeThe fee is shown in full before you confirm, and it is a one-time charge. Payment is made in USDT; mPRM on BNB Smart Chain is also accepted, subject to entry requirements.
  5. Receive your credentialsMetaTrader 5 credentials are issued once participation is confirmed. Your start date and trading window appear in your dashboard.

The Assessment fee is non-refundable once an Assessment has started. It covers the simulated environment, the data capture pipeline and the analytics work behind your report.

The six-trading-day session

A trading day means a weekday from Monday to Friday, excluding the U.S. market holidays published in advance on our website. The session runs for six of them, and it cannot be paused or extended once it has started.

Within the scheduled daily windows you trade freely, subject to the trading rules. Leverage reaches 1:1500 and varies by asset class. There is no requirement to trade every day, though a session with very little activity produces a thin dataset and tends to score poorly on consistency.

Rules that end a session

A small number of rules are hard rules. Breaching one ends the session immediately. The data collected up to that point is still evaluated and you still receive your Analytics Report, but the session is not eligible for Phase 2 selection and the fee is not refunded.

  • Breaching the applicable Maximum Simulated Loss rule for your environment.
  • Trading outside the scheduled windows.
  • Trading from an account that is not your own, or sharing account access.
  • Coordinated trading across multiple accounts, or hedging one account against another.
  • Latency arbitrage, or exploiting a pricing error rather than reporting it.

Practices that do not produce valid data

Some activity is permitted by the platform but produces data that cannot be classified as high quality, because the behaviour is not reproducible and tells us nothing transferable.

Holding a position across the weekend to capture the Monday gapNot valid data
Hedging the same instrument across separate accountsNot valid data

05

How the data is evaluated

Once a session closes, the dataset is evaluated and given an Intelligence Score built from several behavioural metrics. Profit is one input among them, and on its own it decides nothing. Consistency, risk control and decision quality carry weight because they are what make a dataset reproducible and therefore useful.

Evaluation completes within five business days of the session ending. Datasets that rank in the top 10% of their cohort may be classified as High-Quality Trading Data, and their contributors may be invited to Phase 2.

Ranking in the top 10% is a classification of the dataset, not a verdict on the participant. A profitable session can score poorly if its decisions are inconsistent, and a losing session can score well if its risk control is disciplined throughout.

06

What you receive

  • A Personal Trading Analytics Report covering your behaviour across the session — entry and exit timing, position sizing, risk discipline and consistency. Every participant receives one, whatever the outcome.
  • An Intelligence Score and your standing against the cohort.
  • Where the dataset is classified as High-Quality Trading Data, an invitation to Phase 2 Trading Data Evaluation. Invitations appear on the Assessment result page and are also sent by email.

Your report stays in your dashboard. You can enter a new Assessment at any time; each one is a separate Assessment with its own fee, its own ID and its own evaluation.

07

Assessment fees

One fee covers the whole Assessment. There is nothing else to pay at this stage, no deposit to place and no brokerage account to open.

Common questions

Is 1in10 a prop firm, and will I trade real money?

No. 1in10 is a Trading Data Valuation Platform. All trading takes place in a Simulated Trading Environment with simulated balances. No real capital is allocated and no funds are traded on your behalf. What you contribute is trading behavioural data, and what you may receive is a Data License Fee under a separate agreement.

Is there a profit target in Phase 1?

No. Phase 1 has no profit target. The constraint is the Maximum Simulated Loss rule for your environment, and the dataset is evaluated on data quality rather than on returns.

How long does Phase 1 last?

Six trading days, subject to the applicable Assessment schedule and any published holiday treatment. A session cannot be extended or paused once it has started.

What happens if I lose money during the Assessment?

Nothing is lost, because nothing real was at stake. A losing session is still evaluated and still receives an Analytics Report. A breach of the Maximum Simulated Loss rule or other applicable hard rules may result in early termination of the session.

Can I take more than one Assessment at a time?

How many may run at once is subject to the current participation rules. Each Assessment has its own ID and is evaluated independently. Using multiple accounts or coordinating trades across Assessments in a prohibited manner is not permitted.

When do I find out my result?

Within five business days of the session ending. The Analytics Report is posted to your dashboard, together with a Phase 2 invitation where one is issued.
